Meet Dr. Kali
Early Life
Kali was raised in New Lenox, IL by her parents, Don and Sue Lafferty. She is the middle of three girls, and was an avid animal lover from day one with the family's first dog, Cleo. She was active in sports from a young age, particularly road racing, cross country, track and field, and soccer. She was an involved youth member at Peace Lutheran Church, and gained her early pediatric experience both as a local babysitter and as a summer camp counselor at 4-H Camp Shaw-Waw-Nas-See in Manteno, IL
Education
After graduating from Lincoln-Way Central High School with honors, Kali went on to attend Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she completed two degrees in six years. Earning her bachelors of science in Athletic Training in 2007, followed by her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009, she also completed a Business Administration Study Abroad program at Universiteit Antwerpen in Antwerp, Belgium in 2006.
Career
With over 14 years of full-time, hands-on clinical experience in the outpatient setting, Kali has advanced training and certifications in Microcurrent Point Stimulation (MPS), Kinesiotaping, TheraSuit Method, Pelvic Floor, Torticollis and Plagiocephaly, Sports-Specific Rehabilitation, and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy. She is passionate about building strong kiddos with custom solutions and personalized care.
Family
Kali married Scott in 2010, and they've been enjoying a life full of adventure ever since. Their pupper, Odie, is a spunky 13 year old golden retriever mix who enjoys daily walks, unlimited snuggles, and vegetables. In their free time, Kali and Scott enjoy boating in Tampa Bay and are passionate about protecting the local waters. They have lived in St. Petersburg, FL for over nine years. Kali continues to enjoy long distance running, and has completed 16 full marathons, as well as nine Ultramarathons, including her first 100-miler in January 2023. This Pediatric PT is full of energy!
